This whisk is brightly colored and looks great. This is only for eggs and very thin sauces. This whisk is made to be used in a pan and that is why the bottom is flat. I did not realize this was a whisk for thin liquids when I bought it and tried to make pudding with it. This worked but it was a lot of work. The wires on the whisk are very bendy and makes it hard to whisk thicker things. This does work well for eggs and we have tested it with water. It works well for what it is designed for. We do not make a lot of sauces so I do not really see a point in having a whisk specifically for that purpose but if you do this would be a good investment.
